The ANC youth league kindly requested the prophet and the church to pray for the government and leaders of the country to lead their people well. The executive members from the African National Congress had a fellowship with the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) during the Big Sunday service.

The leader of ECG church Prophet Shepherd Bushiri recognized the comrades in the house and he invited the head of delegation Rhulan Thembi Siweya to extend greetings to the congregation at large.

She stated to the congregation how better it is to live as Christians in this independent African nationality. And here forth, the ANC youth members also came to celebrate their rights as black people, and their history is absolutely great. She bravely and boldly expressed that in the past, there were no Christians who gathered and praised the name of the Lord Jesus in such a huge gathering, but now with the freedom that was given to the Africans and in the democratic space; the congregation has every right to gather& celebrate the rights to worship God.

She claimed “Your rights should be defended. You must continue to worship your God the way you see fit, and that right is brought to you by the government of the day”. She also stated that the prophet and the church has every need to pray for the government leaders of the country to lead their people efficiently.

The church plays a very important role in democracy. It has always played an integral role in guiding leaders. Nothing is impossible with prayer and for people to be led successfully, they need prayers.

Ultimately, she advised the church members to defend themselves by responding to the government call, and exercise their voting rights on May 8, by wisely choosing who to lead them.

Prophet Bushiri concluded by saying to the congregation to show gratitude to the ANC and asked the members to vote for the political party of their own choice on 8th of May.
