Today’s powerful parach daily devotional topic is graced by Pastor William kalonga, Joel Reynolds and Pastor Evalister. The topic of today is “God disciplines those he loves”. And the reference to the scripture is traced to
“My child, do not reject God’s discipline and don’t be upset when he corrects you, for the Lord corrects those he loves just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights”.
The prophet Bushiri said in preaching that being corrected is never a good feeling. It could be felt as a downcast and being attacked. In fact, the highlighted God’s truth is God loves those he corrects and it would be unloving for him not to correct a person. It is just not you that is being attached but it is the indiscipline in any person that is being attacked by something called “correction” and discipline from the Lord. If God does not correct to those people, that indiscipline and regular behaviour might hurt somebody. The father knows us better
The Bible instructs us not to reject the correction. God always wants us to follow his path so that we will be aligned with him. Discipline is what gets us to be formed and moulded in the image of Christ.
So, the message to all the viewers is that as long as God loves you, he always disciplines you. The action point is after God disciplines a person; they either give up or take the corrections as punishment but not guidance. If God is disciplining a person, one should take an opportunity to be better. The word of God should always discipline our life.
