Parach session happens every morning, significantly highlighting on a specific scripture that God wants us to ponder on every single day. Joel Reynolds greeted all and welcomed to today’s Parach Daily Devotional program with the title “GOD WILL GUIDE YOU”. The scripture of the day is from Psalms 32:8, which says “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.”. It means that God will teach us where we should go in our daily life.
Pastor William Kalonga shared Prophet Bushiri’s personal story that was written in Parach Daily Devotional book and redirected everyone to be less by the guidelines of our God. He said that the Prophet is a kind of person who likes to pray often. Many times, Bushiri climbs to mountains to have the personal time of prayer with the Lord. Of course, He has been to many mountains. At that time, prophet remembered, when he was in the certain country, he was with few others joined with him to the mountain, prophet discovered some arrows guiding them to reach the top of the mountain. The people with prophet were like to go in a short cut way without following the arrow indications. But Prophet likes to follow the arrows to go to the top of the mountain. At last, Prophet reached the top of the mountain first, where he prayed & waited for the people.
At this point, Pastor Evalista Kamwangala reclaimed the verse from Isaiah 30:20-21, that says, “Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”. Like the Arrows, which helps us getting the way the best we could reach the destination, the voice of God tells us the way that is correct to us. So one must submit to the ways of God. While God is guiding you, he doesn’t force you, but counsel you with Love. So one should ask the Holy Spirit to guide them. God will teach us lovingly, as we are at the center of His heart.
When we fix our eyes on the Cross, we will never be lost. That is so true in the life of Prophetess Mary Bushiri. When she admitted herself to the direction of God, She was lead to marry our Papa. In the same way, We have to invite Holy Spirit to guide us in our daily life.
Later, They awakened with the words of prophet saying that the days are now evil, we cannot afford to put our eyes on Jesus alone, rather than anywhere else. Pastor Evalista Kamwangala ended with reading this profound prayer – “Holy Spirit comes into my life. Please do not stop guiding me, as I cannot walk on my own. I do not get to lost. Please continue ordering my steps in my everyday life. In Jesus name, we pray… Amen!!”
