Pray Always - Parach Daily Devotional
Pray Always - Parach Daily Devotional

In Today’s Parach Daily Devotional session, Praise Peterson initiated the topic, PRAY ALWAYS from the scripture of the day, James 5:13-16. It says that “Is anyone of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is anyone of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.”

Pastor Joel Reynolds significantly explored that we are meant to pray without ceasing, irrespective of the situations we face every day, whether it may be the times of sickness or joy. Further, he encouraged believers to thank the Lord in every season, no matter whatever the season is we Just need to pray effectively and submit our thanks to our God.

Pastor Evalista Kamwangala further continued about praying with the Spirit of Elijah ( Recently Major1 has given elaborate study on this topic that blessed many with the Spirit of Elijah to pray and intercede effectively in the spiritual realm). She instructed that the Spirit of Elijah is very much needed every time to pray before the great things and bad things happen. We are meant to pray, as it is the Will of God in everyone’s lives. They also highlighted that God is still God, even though the things will not go good. God doesn’t change. So, we are instructed to pray always and speak the Word in the prayer, in order to activate the life and healing to our bodies.

Moreover, one needs to fight in spiritual battle by using the great weapon of Prayer, as we are God’s weapon of War. They also mentioned that every time when they participate in prayers with a prophet in the presence of God in the church, they are experiencing mighty power of prayer, which is remaining in them for a long time that helps them to pray effectively. One must need such power of doing prayers, because some seasons are meant to test us to prove that we are His Workmanship. Hallelujah!!

Before concluding with prayer, Praise Peterson pointed out that Praying is nothing but asking one’s requests by giving thanks to our God. And Pastor Evalista said that Prayer is the Communion with God. If we love to pray, indeed we love to have the Communion with the Holy Spirit.
