In his message, Prophet Bushiri said:

On behalf of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church, I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa on the fresh mandate which South African people have, once again, given the African National Congress (ANC) to lead in running the affairs of this great nation.

“I also want to commend all other political parties that gave democracy its deserved face by participating in this election. I would be failing in my duty, of course, if I don’t salute all South Africans that braved the cold and participated in this election through casting a vote. You are our heroes.

“As a church, our role, mostly, stopped at praying to God for peaceful and credible elections and, also, encouraging congregants to exercise their civic duty of voting. I stand, here, as a happy faith leader knowing that God, indeed, has answered our prayers.

“We will continue praying for our leaders, asking God to give them strength and courage in this long and winding journey of running affairs of the state.

“God bless you, and God bless South Africa.”
