The Parach of today is collaborated with Pastor William Kaolonga, and the couple “Joel and Caroline Reynolds”.
The theme of today’s parach is “Feed the sheep”. The opening scripture refers to John: 21:17 where Jesus asks Simon Peter, Simon, Son of Jonah, do you love me?
When Jesus asks Peter if he loves him, it is metaphorically conveying to us as well as Peter that the confirmation given through word of mouth is primary but to do them and put those words in actions and deeds is the most necessary thing. God wants us to serve his people so that love is more demonstrated than spoken. Serving people could be done in many ways. It could be done to the multitudes by so many numbers of ways. As the people of Lord Christ, we need to be overflowing with love towards people around us so that it could give hope to them. It could be witnessed in our everyday interactions.
The other verse that is referred here is 2 Corinthians: 3:2. Actions speak louder than words. So this reflects more of Jesus. To all the viewers, the message from the prophet is that we as believers need to be a blessing to many around us through actions. The action point is that we cannot need this alone but with the love of the Holy Spirit. When we speak into their lives, touch and comfort them, they should experience the presence of Jesus.
Colossians: 4:6 says “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one”.
The prophet suggests each one of us to pray to God to give each one of us to have a heart of willingness and be a blessing to everyone.
