Today’s parach is discussed among Pastor Donota, Layton and Praise Peterson. The theme for today’s parach is “Walk in the Light”. The scripture for today is John: 8:12. It says “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
The Lord is the light of the world. He is the light and in him, there is no darkness at all. Light has a necessary quality to give visual for the people in darkness. It gives clarity.
The enemy disguises himself in the angel of light. But when a person resides in the light of the Christ, one can discern good from fake. Those who are in the Lord and his light will never go into the way of darkness. We are the light of the world and we have to let our light to shine before the people. If one is born again, they cannot walk in darkness. There are not always good chances that each one of us is perfect. But we must be transparent, true and honest in representing our identity to the people around us. We must admit our failures and walk in the light ponders our mistakes and wrongdoings so that we can reflect on them so as to rectify them.
Galatians: 5:16 says “6So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” The Holy Spirit will always tell us when we go astray and stay in darkness. Therefore in order to carry the light of God, we must also have Holy Spirit in us to discern good from the bad.
The Holy Spirit will enable us to walk in the light. The word and the light of God will let us get back on our track to fulfil the will of God. If we have to walk in the light of god, we must also keep his commandments. The action point is “Follow the light”. We should submit our lives to the Lord so that we declare God to take commandment over us and then ultimately have fellowship so that you further can be light to the world. We must be always willing to spend with the Lord so that communication
Conclusion: John: 9:5 says “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world”. It conveys us a message that as long as we are carrying the light of Jesus Christ we will shine forth as the light to the world.
