The session was started by Pastor William Kalonga with the topic “You are not alone” given by Prophet BUSHIRI from the book of Parach Daily Devotional. The scripture of this day is from Hebrews 13:5-6. It says, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?””.
Joel Reynolds began talking about this theme and said it is a reassurance from God to encourage us not to focus on the situations around us but only on God. No matter what you are going through, Our God would be still there with us. We are not Alone. But some people went into depression in difficult times, thinking that they were alone, as if there is no one for them. It is the devil’s thought. As the devil is a liar, it always gives wrong ideas. But God says “I will never leave You, nor forsake You.” People do not understand that God cannot leave them in anyway at any point of difficult times.
Caroline Reynolds further pointed towards Peter, who asked Jesus to walk on waters. When Jesus affirmed Peter to look into Him, Peter looked into Jesus and thus could be able to walk on waters in the storm. But when he looked waters with fear, he started drawing into water. So fear is the main factor that draws away out attention from God. But God wants us to lean on Him. Let’s remember that when we come to Christ, we need not carry our burdens by ourselves, instead, we must lay on Christ, who cares us everyday. We shouldn’t worry about anything, we can take anything to Him and can be opened up before Him like a friend.
William Kalonga reclaimed Prophet Bushiri’s words about Holy Spirit, that Holy Spirit is our best friend and this friend sticks forever. He never stops speaking to us. However we shouldn’t grieve Him. William took the word from 1 Corinthians 6:17 “But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.”. The matter of fact is, Holy Spirit is always with us, in us and aside of us to help us. So it is never too late to come to Holy Spirit and say, “Holy Spirit I’m Sorry, please, I want to listen to You and I want you to come back into my life today.” Later they encouraged the believers, As being a Christian, one must need to subject their bodies to put under the control of Christ obediently and renew their minds. They also added that Prophet BUSHIRI is the man of prayer, who is testifying Christ according to the Word of God in His service.
The session has ended by the following prayer –“Holy Spirit, I welcome You into my life. Come and Have control over me. I promise to listen & do what you says, so that you may not leave me. I need you in my life. Help me in doing things that please God. Take charge of my lips; You are a good guide. Lead me all the ways of my life. In Jesus name I Pray…Amen!!”
